How much water is there in the ocean?

I knew the Internet was big – I mean I knew there was a lot of stuff on it – at least I thought I knew… But my learning today is that there are definitely different levels of “knowing”! With just a few subscriptions, my igoogle feed reader is already telling me that there are 547 articles that I haven’t read today!! I’m considering moving it further towards the bottom of my page so it doesn’t guilt me out!

You can always click the ‘read all’ button to let you off the guilt!

547??
What are you reading??
Oh wait, of course—google marks a certain amount of older articles from any feeds you add as unread. If you only want to read articles from the time you added them, then you should just mark all as read.
Also, if you are using Firefox (and I really hope you are by now), then you should look at using the Helvetireader skin (helvetireader.com), although it’s not working at the moment since they updated yesterday. It looks a lot nicer.
I just started using Google Reader last week. Finally I can keep up to date! I was reading stuff so sporadically with my old aggregator that I could never keep up to date…

Hmm… did my comment get filtered out?
Anyway, if you’re using Firefox, then you make make Google Reader look cleaner and nicer using Helvetireader (www.helvetireader.com). You’ll need to install a plugin first, then install the new ’skin‘ into the plugin, but that’s just a matter of clicking ‘install’ in the order that the website tells you to…
Anyway, I like it much better, and I know you like Helvetica, so take a look!

Oh!! Moderation!
I guess you’ll have to give me the OK…
or I’ll just have to log in to my WordPress.com account!
I use the WordPress.org package for my own site, so I don’t login to the .com much…

Thanks Joe,
I have time to check my blog today – so I’ll try the new ‘skin’! Sorry I didn’t ‘approve’ your comments sooner!
